University of British Columbia – Animal Welfare Program Website

Challenge: The University of British Columbia established the Animal Welfare Program in 1997 to improve the welfare and humane care of animals in agriculture, research, companionship and other areas, and to help build knowledge-based consensus on the broader ethical questions that arise over human use of animals. They were looking to have their website redesigned.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed a website featuring a large image of grazing cows as a backdrop for content. This immediately attracts attention and makes the site warm and inviting, while the use of blue and yellow gives the site a distinct UBC feel. The rotating Flash box on the home page provides movement and enables the Animal Welfare Program to highlight important information
