Challenge: The team at Vancity is focused on creating a leading financial institution where everyone works together to achieve personal and financial goals, while also building a better community. Vancity was holding their annual employee recognition night and needed videos to help present the night’s awards.
Solution: Ballistic Arts designed, animated and produced eight nominee and award winner videos that followed Vancity’s theme of the glamorous Oscar red carpet in Hollywood. The colourful, interactive videos were played at Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre and provided Vancity with a creative way to showcase their nominees and award winners.

Challenge: Tartan Public Relations is a high-energy group of PR professionals who help clients exceed their business goals through strategic communications. One of their clients is Vancity, who was holding a public announcement about reaching their Carbon Neutral goal two years early and was joined by David Suzuki speaking as their guest of honor. They were in need of someone who could shoot the announcement and deliver a video in 48 hours.
Solution: Ballistic Arts went on location to shoot Vancity’s announcement and the highlights of the event. They were in need of a change management campaign for their staff who were wary of the new document management system.
Solution: Ballistic Arts designed a full media campaign that includes four videos (two teasers, one training, and one campaign reinforcer), a manual cover, and letterhead to help educate and train BCSC’s staff about the new Document Management (DM) system. The entire campaign demonstrates the arrival of DM in a comedic fashion, and by involving staff as actors/models in the videos and graphic design pieces, the campaign motivates the rest of BCSC’s staff to receive DM warmly.

Challenge:
Vancity’s Shared Growth Term Deposit was struggling to meet its sales targets primarily because of a lack of the product’s awareness, both from staff and members.
Solution:
In order to produce a cost-conscious communication campaign that would educate both staff and members, Ballistic Arts (working in conjunction with consultant Gilian Dusting) created a series of videos that consisted of the same intro and outro, but the body of the video was unique. This way, Vancity was able to tell multiple stories about its great product while staying under budget. The result from these videos helped Vancity sell over 3 times the targetted sales goal.
