Challenge: Vancity is a credit union dedicated to helping each of their members get to a good place with their finances, while improving the place we call home. Each year they acknowledge their employees at Recognition Night, and they wanted a video that would capture the highlights of the evening.

Solution: The Burnaby-based video production team at Ballistic Arts sent one of our videographers to attend Vancity’s Recognition Night and document the festivities. The footage was then edited into a 4-minute video that highlights employee recognition, Vancity’s 65th anniversary, their new brand and a minute of bloopers at the end.

Challenge: In the last six-and-a-half decades, Vancity has grown to become Canada’s largest Credit Union, with almost 60 locations province-wide serving over 400,000 members. In 2008 Vancity created a program where their employees could go out to the community and teach new immigrants about the Canadian banking system and financial literacy. In order to keep the program fresh, Vancity wants to remind employees to engage in this great program.

Solution: The Ballistic Arts video designers in Burnaby, BC, worked with Vancity to produce a promotional video that displayed the information in a engaging way with the use of motion graphics and heartfelt interviews from some the employees who were involved in the program. This video encouraged more employees to get involved in this worthwhile cause, but also reminded everyone why they started in the first place!
