Vancity – Queer Film Festival Website Design

Sunday, 26 of August, 2007

Challenge: Vancity has been the longest running presenting sponsor of the the Vancouver Queer Film Festival and is the first financial institution in North America to publicly declare its support for the LBGTQ community. They were looking to have a website designed to show their support of the Film Festival and provide information about their enviroVISA.

Solution: Ballistic Arts completed a flash mini-website that blends in the style of the Queer Film Festival while providing users the opportunity to learn more about or apply for a Vancity enviroVISA. The look of the site resembles a movie theatre, complete with curtains and movie-goers. The movie screen rotates messages about Vancity’s involvement in the community, and also gives the community a chance to become a part of Vancity through their enviroVISA.

Ever have a programmer say, “We recommend you convert your HTML site into a CMS, complete with Flash and SEO.” If you understand this, good for you. If you’re head is spinning trying to determine if this is Geek or Greek, you might be suffering from “Nerdiac Arrest” (or N.A.).

Ballistic Arts treats N.A. by talking to clients like regular people. Need web presence, not symptoms? Call us - 604-780-0050.
