Vancity – Careers Recruitment Photography

Vancity Careers

Challenge: Vancity is Canada’s largest credit union guided by a commitment to corporate social responsibility, and to improve the quality of life in the communities where we live and work. They wanted to have career-related photographs taken for their recruitment project, VancityCareers.com.

Solution: Ballistic Arts went on-site to some of Vancity’s branches to take photos of staff, the buildings, and print materials. The photos are currently being used on the Vancity Careers website at www.VancityCareers.com.

Vancity – CEO Tamara Vrooman Portraits

Challenge: Vancity wanted to introduce their new CEO to the staff and world and needed portraits of Tamara Vrooman in her new environment.

Solution: Ballistic Arts set up in at Vancity head office and within a short time frame shot the portraits.

Vancity 60th Anniversary Members Videos – Carolyn Affleck

Challenge:
2006 was ’s 60th anniversary. They were looking for a way to share with members their story.

Solution:
Ballistic Arts was invited to develop a series of videos detailing the stories of their members. 
This video outlines the story of Carolyn Affleck, a photographer, peacewalker and Vancity member. For future videos, you can see them here.

Vancity 60th Anniversary Video

Challenge:
With 2006 being the year of Vancity’s 60th anniversary, there have been many events celebrating the occasion. Vancity was looking to have their day at Iona Beach recorded on their October 11th anniversary, and developed into a video about how staff celebrated.

Solution:
Ballistic Arts joined Vancity on Iona Beach, where they celebrated their 60th anniversary by giving back to the environment. Interviews were then conducted at three Vancity branches to show off the anniversary events occuring throughout the day at different branches, and how staff were enjoying the festivities.

Vancity – Financial Info FAQ Comic Strip

Challenge: Vancity was looking for a fun but effective way to educate staff about their Financial Advice FAQ by using a comic strip. They were looking for someone who could design it.

Solution: Ballistic Arts sketched out a few ideas and turned the Financial Advice FAQ into a superhero. The comic strip is humorous and teaches staff about financial planning advice.

Vancity Shared Growth

Challenge:
Vancity’s Shared Growth Term Deposit was struggling to meet its sales targets primarily because of a lack of the product’s awareness, both from staff and members.

Solution:
In order to produce a cost-conscious communication campaign that would educate both staff and members, Ballistic Arts (working in conjunction with consultant Gilian Dusting) created a series of videos that consisted of the same intro and outro, but the body of the video was unique. This way, Vancity was able to tell multiple stories about its great product while staying under budget. The result from these videos helped Vancity sell over 3 times the targetted sales goal.

Vancity Theatre Grand Opening Events Photography

Challenge: Vancity opened their new Theatre, the new home of the Vancouver International Film Festival, and required event photos to be taken of the event.

Solution: Ballistic Arts was invited to take pictures showcasing the event and the new building.

Vancity – Information Overload Photography

Challenge: Vancity, Canada’s largest credit union, was looking to educate their employees about information overload in the workplace by utilizing comedic photos taken by yours truly.

Solution: Ballistic Arts visited three branches and directed a few Vancity staff for the photo shoot. The photographs achieve Vancity’s goal of portraying information overload in a humorous manner with exaggerated expressions and poses.

Vancity – Recognition Night at BC Place Stadium

Challenge: Vancity is Canada’s largest credit union committed to corporate social responsibility and improving the quality of life in the communities where we live and work. Vancity held an event at BC Place to recognize their staff and were in need of a video that highlighted the evening’s festivities.

Solution: Ballistic Arts was pleased to be a part of this large-scale event and using our team of videographers, captured the excitement of the night. The completed video features the fun of simultaneously celebrating Staff Recognition Night and the launch of Vancity’s new brand.

Challenge: Vancity is Canada’s largest credit union and is a democratic, ethical, and innovative provider of financial services to its members. They wanted a video to educate their staff about how to be a leader in their community.

Solution: Ballistic Arts produced an inspirational video about community leadership that will motivate Vancity employees to become community leaders through actions such as going green and supporting local businesses.
