Happy January Everybody!

Wow, soooo much snow and now it's all gone! Hope everyone got to take a day off to play in the snow! Our snowman was kinda warped, so instead of taking a picture of it, here's an effigy instead. Ballistic Arts Media Studios is starting the new year off in style with a whole bunch of crazy projects!

In this issue, find out what we’ve been up to!

Recent Projects
Here are some stellar new projects we’ve worked on recently! All our new updates can be seen at www.ballisticarts.com

Projects we've worked on include:

FUTURE SHOP
– (Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers DVD Release)
Challenge: With the release of the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers DVD, Future Shop put on a national wide spectacle that had costume contests, vendor displays and free movie screenings! Future Shop wanted a video that could capture all the cinematic magic!
Solution: Ballistic Arts utilised the available footage and spliced in clips from the movie to help stylise the video in a way that promoted the events as well as stayed true to the movie itself.

VANCITY CREDIT UNION – (E-GREETINGS CARDS)
Challenge: With another holiday season comes another batch of greetings cards. However, this year, VanCity CEO Dave Mowat wanted a card that was fun, unique, and environmentally friendly.
Solution: Using the e-greetings solution, Ballistic Arts created a couple of cards that were just right!

Snowman: (created for the VanCity staff)
Xmas Tree: (created for VanCity members and associates)

JACQUELINE SAMUDA - ACTOR DEMO REEL
Challenge: Vancouver veteran actor Jacqueline Samuda wanted a new feel for her demo reel while still showing off what she does best - act! Having seen the work that Ballistic Arts did on a previous project, Jacqueline quickly invited us to create her new reel.
Solution: Using her vast amounts of work, we created 2 reels in 1. The first half showcases her wide range of talent on shows such as Da Vinci's Inquest and the Chris Isaak Show, while the second half outlines her role on Stargate SG-1.

Visit Jacqueline's website to see the reel!

VANCITY CREDIT UNION – (ANNUAL AWARDS)
Challenge: Every year, VanCity members vote to give 1-million dollars to a worthy cause. This year, members voted to support the WISH Drop-In Centre Society, a safe-house for Vancouver's female sex trade workers on the downtown Eastside.
Solution: Ballistic Arts used the urban news format to document this momentous event.

ANDUCCI'S RESTAURANT– (CATERING BOX)
Challenge: Anducci's needed some new catering boxes that would showcase their brand and identity when they deliver on location.
Solution: Working with the pre-determined dimensions and only with the use of two colours, Ballistic Arts took the project to task. We created something fun and exciting to look at while still communicating the Anducci's message.

VANCITY CREDIT UNION – (5 YEAR MANAGEMENT VIDEOS)
Challenge: Having revamped their 5 year strategy plan, VanCity now needed a tool that would communicate the message effectively to their management team.
Solution: Working closely with the Corporate Communications department, Ballistic Arts created 4 videos that would demonstrate clearly, and simply, the message of the 5 year plan.
