Happy January Everybody!

We wish everyone a very Happy New Year and hope you all enjoyed the holidays! We're starting the year off with some new projects and making New Year's resolutions too! Ballistic's resolution for 2008 is to go green! What better way to start than by recycling things left over from the holiday festivities?

BC Housing - (40th Anniversary Gala Gala Do Booklet Design)
Challenge:
BC Housing is the provincial crown agency that develops, manages and administers a wide range of subsidized housing options for those in greatest need. 2007 marked their 40th anniversary and they needed a commemorative booklet designed.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed a festive booklet that celebrates BC Housing's achievements and gives thanks to their staff and partners who have supported them over the past 40 years.

The Grand Hotel Nanaimo - (Website Design)
Challenge: Nestled in the heart of Nanaimo's prestigious north end, The Grand Hotel Nanaimo offers discerning guests premier accommodation and amenities in a location like no other. They were looking to have their website redesigned.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed a site using shades of gold and burgundy to keep the colours consistent with the hotel's logo. The site incorporates drop-down menus for easy navigation, a reservations button to allow guests quick access to book their stay, and flash photo galleries that showcase the hotel.

The Arbuthnot Group - (Website Design)
Challenge: The Arbuthnot Group is the parent company to pubs and liquor stores throughout Metro Vancouver. They were looking to have a website designed that would house all five of their establishments.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed a website using columns to distinguish the five different pubs and liquor stores. The home page and navigation menu allows viewers to quickly and easily navigate to each establishment, while the colours and logos in each segment help create an individual brand and identity.

Green Sheet Construction Data - (Logo & Brochure Design)
Challenge: Green Sheet Construction Data publishes timely accurate project development and building permit information for Greater Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Whistler, Squamish and Pemberton. They were in need of a logo and brochure.

Solution: Ballistic Arts provided Green Sheet with a logo that is bold and representative of the company. We then designed a brochure that matches the colour scheme we created for the logo. The design is clean, eye-catching and speaks to their target audience.

Medical Ventures - (Metricath Set-up & Evaluation Poster)
Challenge: Angiometrx Inc. has been a division of Medical Ventures since 2003. Their primary product is the Metricath System, which is an innovative catheter-based technology developed in response to the limitations of existing measurement technologies. They were looking to have two posters created for Metricath.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed two posters for Metricath: one that is used to provide doctors with set-up advice and one that is used to announce when the Metricath System will be clinically evaluated.
