Happy February Everybody!

We'd like to wish all of you a Happy Chinese New Year as we celebrate the Year of the Pig! Ballistic Arts is ringing in the Lunar New Year with creativity, good fortune, and new designs! Check out what we've been up to and click on the pig for your Chinese New Year animation!

Edible BC - (Banner Designs)
Challenge: Edible British Columbia offers many services that are as simple as an exclusive reservation in one of BC's top restaurants, or as elaborate as a complete multi-day culinary-focused holiday. They were looking to have banners designed for display in their retail store.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed two different large format banners to promote Edible BC's culinary market tours and gourmet kayaking adventures. The informative banners provide a taste of the company's edible activities, and can be used not only as signage in the retail store, but also at tradeshows and corporate events.

The Arbuthnot Group - (Birthday Card Designs)
Challenge: The Arbuthnot Group is the parent company to Fox's Reach, The Landing, and Tidewaters pubs in the Lower Mainland. They were looking to have birthday cards designed to give away to their patrons.

Solution: Ballistic Arts created a birthday card using a deep red colour, and black and white photos. The result is a card that says "Happy Birthday" with an urban, sexy feel, and provides a way for The Arbuthnot Group to stay in touch with their customers.

Vancity - (Winter Ball 2007 Portrait Photography)
Challenge: Vancity held a staff Winter Ball Christmas party for their entire Group of Companies with a James Bond theme: Shaken, Not Stirred. They were looking to have a digital photo booth at the party to enable staff to have their pictures professionally shot.

Solution: Ballistic Arts was on location at the Hyatt for Vancity's Winter Ball and shot memorable, fun portraits. Each staff member who had their picture taken was e-mailed a printable photo for free. The photos highlight the energy and excitement of the party, and were a mixture of playful, candid, and traditional poses.

Schill Robinson Insurance - (35th Anniversary Logo Design)
Challenge: Schill Robinson Insurance is a group of trusted advisors committed to serving their clients with integrity, intelligence, and excellence. They were in need of a logo to celebrate their 35 years in business.

Solution: Ballistic Arts used an olive green colour for the 35 year logo to draw attention to the anniversary date, and integrated the 35 years smoothly into the look of their existing logo, making the entire logomark a cohesive unit.
