July 2006

Happy July Everybody!

We hope everyone enjoyed the Canada Day long weekend and got out to celebrate our country's 139th birthday! We've created some spectacular new designs (some of which include a little red and white Canadian spirit), so check it out!

Edible British Columbia - (Website Design)
Challenge: Edible British Columbia provides the food-minded traveler, corporate business, event planner or local Vancouverite with unique and personalized culinary experiences. With the company expanding, they were looking to have their website re-designed.

Solution: Ballistic Arts was delighted to be asked back to design Edible BC's new site for 2006. We updated the look with a clean layout, delicious pictures, and a rotating Flash banner on the home page. The re-designed website contains great
visual appeal that will lure epicureans in for a culinary adventure.

Anducci's Restaurants - (Metro Ad Design)
Challenge: Anducci's is all about family, friends, and the good life. Papa Andooch likes to share some of the good life with his patrons and was looking to have a 2-for-1 coupon ad designed for the Metro newspaper.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed a fun and quirky ad that plays on the ad's message that "Nonna always said, 'I buy one, you buy one.'" The image of the grandmother doll and the colourful background makes the ad stand out on the pages of Metro.

Galini Greek Kouzina & Grill - (Table Card Designs)
Challenge: Galini is a warm and inviting Greek restaurant with an eclectic charm of the Mediterranean. They were looking to have table cards designed for their drink menu.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed table cards using shades of purple and an image of a Greek statue throughout the design. These elements give the table cards a Mediterranean flair, while the square shape provides a modern look.

National Importers - (Western Grocer ad)
Challenge: National Importers imports fine food products from virtually every corner of the world into the North American marketplace. They were in need of an ad to be designed for their Sezme Sesame Snaps that would be placed in Western Grocer magazine.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed a full-page ad that markets Sezme's Vanilla and Honey Sesame Snaps. The ad is bright, playful, and speaks to the readers of Western Grocer.
