JUly 2008

Happy July Everybody!

We're more than halfway through 2008 and enjoying the dog days of summer. In the midst of the heat, think about supporting your community by making a donation to the food bank. Those who are in need could use a little Christmas in July cheer! Contact SHARE Family and Community Services Society to find out how you can help!

While we're in the mood to share, here's a new line-up of projects we've been working on!

TTM Resources - (Web 2.0 Design)
Challenge:
TTM Resources Inc. is a Vancouver-based publicly trading resource Exploration and Development Company, focused on four assets in British Columbia, Canada. They were looking to upgrade their site using Web 2.0 technology.

Solution: Ballistic Arts re-designed the TTM Resources website and programmed it to make full use of Web 2.0 technology. The site has an RSS feed, searchability functions, and the ability for content management. This increases TTM's capacity to market to search engines in the future.

Vancity - (Recognition Night Orientation Video)
Challenge: Vancity's annual employee recognition night was held on May 2, 2008. They were in need of an Orientation video for the Human Resources department to use for employee engagement and new employees.

Solution: Ballistic Arts' roving camera followed the Recognition Night hosts for the evening and shot a video reminiscent of celebrity entertainment shows seen on television. The final video captures the excitement of the night with shots of people on the red carpet, interviews with staff members and a funny blooper reel.

University of British Columbia Faculty of Land and Food Systems - (Thank You Card Design)
Challenge: The UBC Faculty of Land and Food Systems is a leader in integrated research and education that addresses global issues surrounding health and sustainable land and food systems. They were looking to have new Thank You cards designed for use in fundraising, donations, and faculty communication.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed two cards using photos and colours taken from nature to convey a connection to the environment. The cards have an organic, natural feel that represents the Faculty well.

Neovasc - (ASMBS Tradeshow Booth Design)
Challenge: Neovasc, formerly known as Medical Ventures, provides distinctive medical device solutions for unmet needs in vascular intervention. They were looking to have a booth designed to showcase their AEGIS PeriPatch product at a tradeshow held by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed a large, multi-panel booth that attracts the attention of tradeshow patrons. The PeriPatch AEGIS product is prominently displayed on the booth to ensure brand recognition and visibility.

Mount Pleasant Cheese - (Cineplex Ad Design)
Challenge: Mount Pleasant Cheese is Vancouver's only store dedicated exclusively to celebrating the artistry of Canada's cheese makers, and offers over 150 artisanal cheeses. They were looking to have an ad designed for Cineplex Media's digital pre-show.

Solution: Ballistic Arts created a fresh, natural ad that showcases the fine Canadian artisan cheeses that Mount Pleasant Cheese offers. The design is clean and quickly relays what Mount Pleasant Cheese is about to movie patrons watching Cineplex Media's pre-show.
