August 2005

Happy August Everybody!

The summer's been a little busy for the Ballistic Boys so this month we've hired an intern, Logan the cat! If your pet is looking for an internship with Ballistic Arts, e-mail their picture and resume to info@ballisticarts.com!

Take a look at what our intern has been helping us out with this month!

Function Autoworks - (Logo Design)
Challenge: Function Autoworks is Vancouver's one-stop solution for JDM parts and is a shop that caters to the needs of automotive enthusiasts.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed a sleek logo with a stylized "F" that reflects the shop's role as the industry's source for high quality automotive parts from Japan and the US.

The Arbuthnot Group - (Football Logo Designs)
Challenge: The Arbuthnot Group is the parent company to four Lower Mainland pubs: Rhino's, The Landing, Fox's Reach, and Tidewaters. The pubs were hosting their annual Monday Night Football promotions and needed new football logos for 2005.

Solution: Ballistic Arts was invited back to design the pubs' football logos for the third year in a row. For 2005, we designed a strong, masculine logo with a sporty look that brings on a feel for an evening of football and drinking a frosty mug of beer!

Impark - (Photo Shoot)
Challenge: As one of North America's largest parking operators, Impark was in need of new photos that would refresh their look and realisitically portray their company for their upcoming website revamp.

Solution: Ballistic Arts' full media design services enabled us to do a photo shoot with their new website in mind. Impark chose to include their staff in the photos instead of using basic stock photography. By using actual Impark staff, the photos Ballistic Arts shot for the new website will reflect the company in a personable and realistic manner.

Gold Era - (Logo Design)
Challenge: Gold Era is an exploration company headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. They were looking to establish themselves with a corporate brand identity.

Solution: Ballistic Arts was hired on to create Gold Era's branding and we began with the most important part of a company's identity: the logo. The design incorporates smooth lines along with the company's corporate colours of green and gold.
