Happy August Everybody!

We hope everyone is enjoying the last few weeks of summer, despite Vancouver's inconsistent weather patterns! The Ballistic team has been working on lots of new projects so check out our new designs this month!

Vancity - (Queer Film Festival Website Design)
Challenge: Vancity has been the longest running presenting sponsor of the the Vancouver Queer Film Festival and is the first financial institution in North America to publicly declare its support for the LBGTQ community. They were looking to have a website designed to show their support of the Film Festival and provide information about their enviroVISA.

Solution: Ballistic Arts completed a flash mini-website that blends in the style of the Queer Film Festival while providing users the opportunity to learn more about or apply for a Vancity enviroVISA. The look of the site resembles a movie theatre, complete with curtains and movie-goers. The movie screen rotates messages about Vancity's involvement in the community, and also gives the community a chance to become a part of Vancity through their enviroVISA.

National Importers - (Sezme Sesame Snaps Packaging Design)
Challenge: National Importers has been importing fine food products from virtually every corner of the world since 1947, and introduces these exotic flavours into the North American marketplace. They were looking to have new packaging designed for their Sezme Sesame Snaps product.

Solution: Ballistic Arts re-designed the Sezme Sesame Snaps boxes and wrappers for their Honey and Vanilla products. Using the same nostalgic navy blue and cream as the main colours, the boxes were designed with sesame seeds playfully scattered across the lid, while the wrappers have a see-through window for people to view the tasty snaps. The new look is fresh and modern, while still reminiscent of the old retro packaging.

Anducci's Restaurants - (Gift Card Sleeve Design)
Challenge: Anducci's is the place to go for some real Italian fare with your friends and family. They were looking to have a sleeve designed to hold their gift cards.

Solution: Ballistic Arts created a two-fold sleeve with a fun illustration of the Leaning Tower of Pisa on the cover. The inside features slots to insert the gift card (which was also designed by Ballistic), as well as directions on how to register the card, while the back has a playful note. The sleeve makes receiving a gift card almost as fun as using one.

Galini Greek Kouzina - (Flyer Design)
Challenge: Galini serves up delicious, homemade Greek food using only the freshest and best quality ingredients. With summer in full swing, they wanted a flyer designed to promote their patio and a coupon for a free appetizer.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed a bright, sunny flyer using shades of orange, red and yellow to evoke a summer feel. Photos of the restaurant's food, decor and the patio itself are visually appealing, and when combined with the hot colours used, creates a flyer that is vibrant.

Impark - (Seattle Photo Shoot)
Challenge: Imperial Parking (Impark) is an industry leader in parking management with over 1,800 parking facilities and 425,000 spaces in Canada and the United States. They were looking to have a photo session take place in Seattle, Washington.

Solution: Ballistic Arts travelled to Seattle to shoot Impark's numerous locations throughout the city. The photos include shots of their parking lots, staff, smart car, and scenic city scapes, providing Impark with an array of professional images.
