Happy August Everybody!

Wow! Can you believe that summer is quickly passing us by?! Well, you better get all in your cotton candy fix before it's too late! And to accompany the last days of summer, try some of our sweet projects below!

Vancity - (Cut the Carbon Posters Design)
Challenge:
Vancity reached its carbon neutral target in April 2008 and to celebrate, Vancity is encouraging their staff to reduce their carbon footprint even more by running an internal contest call "Cut the Carbon". In the past 8 months, Vancity staff have been challenged to cut their carbon from various parts of their work and home life. They were in need of eight posters that would illustrate their "Cut the Carbon" campaign.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed a series of "Cut the Carbon" posters that illustrated green behaviours such as "Recycling Paper" and "Alternative Transportation."

First Home Info - (Web 2.0 Design and Video)
Challenge: First Home Info is brought to you by the Jessi Johnson mortgage team of brokers who work together to provide the best possible service available. They were looking to have a website designed.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed and programmed this website to take full advantage of Web 2.0 technology. Jessi's instructional video sits front and centre on the home page, while the booking button allows clients to book a free seminar. the ability for content management, searchability functions and RSS feed increases the mortgage team's capacity to market to search engines.

Dhillon Naturopathic - (Folding Card Design)
Challenge: Dr. Vinnie Dhillon is a licensed and registered naturopathic physician. They were looking to have a folding brochure card designed to answer questions that new and future patients might have.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed a card using colours and images that complement naturopathic medicine. The front and back covers provide an introduction to Dr. Dhillon's practice, while the inside page gives clients and overview of services in a clean, easy-to-read layout.

BC Soccer Association - (2007 Conference Video)
Challenge: The mission of the British Columbia Soccer Association is to embrace the global cultural diversity of soccer and to promote, protect and develop a lifelong passion for the beautiful game in all British Columbians. They hold an annual BC Soccer Conference that gathers coaches and referees from across the nation. They wanted to have something that would help increase registration for next year.

Solution: Ballistic Arts was invited to shoot a highlight video that will be posted on the BCSA website to attract future participants to the conference.

Integrated Mapping Technologies - (Website Design)
Challenge: For over 15 years, Integrated Mapping Technologies (IMT) has satisfied a growing demand for high quality, digital photogrammetric products and services. They were looking for a re-design of their website.

Solution: Ballistic Arts created a site that reinforces IMT's brand by using a strong amount of the company's corporate colours. The design is modern, easy to navigate and speaks to their target audience.
