Happy November Everybody!

It's cold and very wet outside but that hasn't dampened Ballistic's design spirit! Check out what we've been up to while it's been raining and pouring this month!

BC Securities Commission - (Document Management Full Media Rollout)
Challenge: The British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) is the independent provincial government agency responsible for regulating securities trading in British Columbia through the administration of the Securities Act. They were in need of a change management campaign for their staff who were wary of the new document management system.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed a full media campaign that includes four videos (two teasers, one training, and one campaign reinforcer), a manual cover, and letterhead to help educate and train BCSC's staff about the new Document Management (DM) system. The entire campaign demonstrates the arrival of DM in a comedic fashion, and by involving staff as actors/models in the videos and graphic design pieces, the campaign motivates the rest of BCSC's staff to receive DM warmly.

Downtown Vancouver Attractions Group - (Christmas Ad Design)
Challenge: Downtown Vancouver Attractions Group is a cooperative team of businesses – such as Vancouver Lookout, Granville Island, and Vancouver Art Gallery – who work together to spread the word about some of the wonderful attractions and things to do while in Vancouver, BC. They wanted to have an advertisement created to promote Vancouver attractions during the holidays.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed a sophisticated ad using traditional red and green holiday colours. The Vancouver attraction sites are listed on the image of a Christmas ornament, giving the ad a truly festive feel.

Citizens Bank - (Flash E-vite)
Challenge: As Canada's first branchless bank, Citizens Bank of Canada offers great products, exceptional service, and convenient 24-hour access. They were looking for a way to disseminate a challenge to their staff with an internal communications piece.

Solution: Ballistic Arts designed and developed a Flash e-vite that would invite staff to submit their ideas to the Citizens Bank challenge. The concept of the e-vite is fun and motivational, and Ballistic Arts achieved this by creating bobblehead characters in a cartoon-animated setting. (Due to confidentiality reasons, we are only permitted to show the presentation without the original text.)

Vancouver Museum - (Location Photography)
Challenge: As Canada's largest civic museum, Vancouver Museum explores the human and natural history of the Vancouver region, the Pacific Northwest Coast, and Pacific Rim with exciting, ever-changing new exhibitions. They were looking to have photos taken of its rental facilities for their rentals brochure.

Solution: Ballistic Arts went on location and photographed the museum's facilities available for rent. The shots showcase the museum's spacious and elegant interior with a clean, artistic view that will appeal to anyone looking for a space to hold their next event.

Vancity - ("What Did You Do on Vancity's 60th Anniversary?" Video)
Challenge: With 2006 being the year of Vancity's 60th anniversary, there have been many events celebrating the occasion. Vancity was looking to have their day at Iona Beach recorded on their October 11th anniversary, and developed into a video about how staff celebrated.

Solution: Ballistic Arts joined Vancity on Iona Beach, where they celebrated their 60th anniversary by giving back to the environment. Interviews were then conducted at three Vancity branches to show off the anniversary events occuring throughout the day at different branches, and how staff were enjoying the festivities.
