December 2005

Happy December Everybody!

Christmas is in the air, and so are the familiar holiday scents of turkey, gingerbread, and candy! Ballistic Arts wishes everyone a very sweet and merry holiday season!

Check out this month's designs (our last batch of eye-candy for the year) and we'll see you all in 2006!

Impark - (Website Design)
Challenge: Impark is a leader in parking management and is the third largest company of its kind in North America. They were looking to re-design their website with a fresh look.

Solution: Since Ballistic Arts had previously designed Impark Wireless' three subsidiary sites, it was natural for us to create a complementary look for Impark's new website. Using photos we had previously shot, the site was re-designed to be sleek and modern, with an eye-catching Flash intro animation on the home page.

Vancity Intersections 2006 Game - (Internal Communication)
Challenge: Vancity required an internal communication piece promoting new organizational changes and key goals for Vancity to achieve. The client wanted a fun analogy that achieving their 2006 business plan was a little like a board game.

Solution: Ballistic Arts provided the photography of the Vancity hybrid car and then designed a piece that is colourful and fun-looking. Makes you want to play, right?

Coffee Cow - (Business Card and Gift Certificate Design)
Challenge: Coffee Cow is a friendly cafe and bakery located in Vancouver. They were looking to have new business cards and gift certificates designed.

Solution: Ballistic Arts played on the black and white colour-block design of the Coffee Cow logo to create a business card with strong impact. The richly coloured gift certificate utilizes the same font as the business card to create consistency.

The Arbuthnot Group - (Baby T-shirt Logo Designs)
Challenge: The Arbuthnot Group was looking to have individual logos designed for baby t-shirts for all four of their pubs, which include The Landing, Rhino's, Fox's Reach, and Tidewaters.

Solution: Ballistic Arts re-designed the pub logos to be cute and feminine by using pastel colours, hearts and swirls, making them perfect for girlish baby t's.
